Chaplaincy Team

What does it mean to be in our Chaplaincy Team?

Being part of the Chaplaincy Team at St Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary School is both a privilege and a responsibility. Members of the team are dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment rooted in faith, supporting our community through spiritual guidance and care for others.

The Chaplaincy Team plays a vital role in the spiritual life of the school by promoting the values of love, respect, and service, in accordance with our Catholic ethos. They collaborate with staff and students to create an inspiring atmosphere, ensuring that the faith journey of each child is developed and celebrated. Through various initiatives and events, the team aims to deepen the connection between our school community and the wider parish, anchoring our mission in shared beliefs and values, inspired by the life and love of Jesus.

The Chaplaincy Team consists of children from Year 4 to Year 6 and there is a recruitment process which includes an interview and prayer design task. The new team is commissioned at our Welcome Service at the beginning of the school year.
