The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is allocated as additional funding for disadvantaged pupils, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children.
School leaders should decide how to use the Pupil Premium and they are held accountable for their decisions through the school performance tables which show the performance of disadvantaged pupils compared to their peers.
The Pupil Premium funding at St Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary School is an important resource aimed at supporting our students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This additional funding allows us to implement targeted interventions, ensuring that every child receives the necessary support to reach their full potential. We are committed to using the Pupil Premium effectively to enhance educational outcomes, providing resources like tutoring, extracurricular activities, and personalised learning experiences.
In line with our Catholic values, we strive to create an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and empowered. Transparency in how these funds are allocated and their impact on our students’ success is paramount, and we encourage parents and the community to engage with our initiatives.
