Dear St Mary’s Families,

The children will be attending the Young Voices Concert on Thursday 15th January 2026. Please read the information below carefully, as it includes important details about the day.

Clothing
Children may come to school in non-uniform on this day. However, if your child has not ordered a Young Voices T-shirt, they must wear a plain white T-shirt.

Timings and Travel

• Children will leave school at 12:30pm, after lunch.
• We strongly recommend that children have a hot school lunch on this day.
• The coach will collect us from school and take us to Resorts World Arena, Birmingham, arriving in time for settling in and to start rehearsals at 2:00pm.

Food and Drinks

• All children must bring a packed lunch for their evening meal, which will be eaten at 5:00pm, along with drinks.
• This should be brought in a plastic bag that can be thrown away.
• Please also send a plastic refillable bottle (not their usual water bottle or a metal bottle).

Ear Defenders
Last year, many children found ear defenders helpful to enjoy the concert. We have a limited number available at school. If you feel your child may need a pair and does not usually use them, these can be purchased relatively cheaply online.

Concert Details (if you are attending the evening performance)

• Arena doors open at 6:00pm
• Concert starts at 7:00pm
• Concert finishes at approximately 8:45pm

Collection
After the concert, all children must return to school by coach. This is the safest way to reunite children with parents, and the arena does not allow handovers on site. We expect to return to school at approximately 9:50pm. Please check the school Facebook page for live updates. Staff will have the school mobile with them throughout the day should you need to contact us: 07990 880772

Tickets and Payment
If you have ordered tickets and have not yet accepted the link, please do so as soon as possible. If you experience any issues, please contact the school office. There is also a payment item on ParentMail for coach travel, which is £16 per child.

To recap, on the day of the concert children will need:

• Non-uniform (white T-shirt if no Young Voices T-shirt has been ordered)
• A packed evening meal and drink in a disposable bag
• A plastic refillable water bottle
• To must travel to and from Resorts World Arena via the school coach

Thank you for your continued support.
